Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Speech and Hearing Therapist - Audiological Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our audiologic services department, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and providing guidance to patients and families on communication and swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth evaluations using audiometric tests and examinations to diagnose speech, voice, resonance, language, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based remedial programs tailored to individual needs, working closely with patients and families to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to establish group and personalized care plans, promoting effective communication and care coordination.
  • Provide expert advice and educational services to patients and families on communication and swallowing disorders, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
  • Diagnose the degree and type of hearing impairment, providing detailed information on the nature, extent, impact, and implications of hearing loss and treatment options.
Requirements
  • Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent experience.
  • Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists Certification (CASLPA) and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
  • 3+ years of experience in speech-language pathology or audiology, with a focus on diagnostic audiology and fluency disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and professionals.
  • Criminal record check, Adult Abuse Registry check, and valid driver's license.
