Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our Core Laboratory team at Bluewater Health. As a Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results, while providing exceptional patient care and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine testing in all core laboratory disciplines, including antibody identification and smear review.
  • Lead within a team environment, providing guidance and support to junior staff members.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • CMLTO membership in good standing.
  • Registered in Haematology, Transfusion Science.
  • University degree an asset.
  • Management education certificate or equivalent preferred.
