Job Summary

The Service Employee Bus Washer is responsible for maintaining and fueling all school buses, activity, and commercial buses in conjunction with our Maintenance Department. This includes dispensing fuel, checking oil, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating bus flow to ensure safe operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Open the gates to the lot and check bus parking areas to ensure timely dispatch.
  • Re-position any buses that may impede traffic in the yard.
  • Maintain accurate records, including Bulk Fuel Receiving Report, Fuel Variance Report, Closing Month-end Report, and Meter Calibration Report.
  • Notify the Location Manager when a fuel delivery is required and ensure accurate stick readings are taken before and after delivery.
  • Check and fill oil, antifreeze, power steering, transmission fluid, brake fluid, windshield washer fluid, and belts on buses being fueled.
  • Perform light interior and exterior maintenance on buses as required.
  • Complete other management requests or directives as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of bus maintenance.
  • Ability to learn maintenance skills.
