About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team at McLean Hospital. As a Mental Health Specialist, you will provide direct patient care and participate in therapeutic milieu under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
- Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and maintain professional boundaries.
- Identify patient behaviors that contribute to crisis situations and utilize de-escalation techniques.
- Participate in planning and implementation of patient groups and active milieu assessment.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Verbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.
- No experience required, but one year of patient care or related experience preferred.
