The Digital Health Transformation Consultant is a key role in driving strategy, execution, and measurement for a portfolio of digital health initiatives.

The position reports directly to the Director, Digital Health (Toronto Region).

The Toronto Region digital health team's mandate is to coordinate digital initiatives to enhance patient experiences, advance health equity, improve provider experiences, improve population health, and lower the cost of care within the region.

The successful candidate will lead and manage healthy relationships and partnerships with champions and regional sponsors for the adoption of Digital Health Solutions across the region.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading regional digital initiatives throughout the project management lifecycle, including setting strategic vision, designing project plan and key processes, implementation, and evaluation
  • Identifying, assessing, and managing risks affecting project deliverables; updating leadership regarding strategic implications of risks and issues
  • Maintaining awareness of current issues in the health care system related to organizational, provincial, and national strategic priorities
  • Supervising day-to-day tasks of teammates working on projects within the portfolio

Requirements include:

  • Master's degree in business administration, health administration, health informatics, information technology, or a related field
  • Five (5) years of Digital Health related experience
  • Seven (7) – ten (10) years health system experience
  • Previous knowledge and experience of the Ontario healthcare system
  • Strong knowledge of digital tools, systems, and databases used in patient care delivery and management technology
  • Experience leading communications with executive-level stakeholders, clinicians, and other key partners
  • Experience with project management methodologies to manage multiple and concurrent projects
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting transformation using technology as an enabler to facilitate strategic thinking and planning
  • Ability to develop networks and build alliances, engage in cross-functional activities, and collaborate across departmental and organizational boundaries
  • Ability to comprehend and synthesize technical information for a wider audience
  • Ability to apply business principles to the healthcare environment, including financial management, human resource management, and quality improvement
