About the Role:
As a Health Care Aide with Alberta Health Services, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal assistance and support to patients who require short-term assistance or ongoing care, in accordance with patient care plans and facility policies.
- Work closely with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure seamless care transitions and continuum of care.
- Assist nurses with routine care tasks, such as hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety needs.
- Participate in organized activities and programs to promote patient engagement and well-being.
- Observe and report on patient mood, health, and wellbeing to healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
- Completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire and active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory.
- Confirmation letter as proof of enrolment from the Directory.
- Current nursing students with relevant practicum experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Continuing Care experience.
- CHSS Training or ROL Training.
