Job Title: Heavy Duty Cleaning Specialist

Job Overview: Domus Building Cleaning Company Ltd. is seeking a reliable and skilled Heavy Duty Cleaning Specialist to join their team. As a Heavy Duty Cleaning Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment by performing various cleaning tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Clean assigned areas by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and waxing floor surfaces.
  • Collect and dispose of trash in garbage containers on a regular basis.
  • Operate carpet machines of various types.
  • Spot clean walls, ceilings, partitions, light switches, doors, and windowsills.
  • Wipe and sanitize all public utilities such as public phones, furniture, and door handles.
  • Cleaning of washrooms, sanitizing, mopping, restocking of supplies as needed.
  • Follow preset policies, guidelines, and rules to maintain a safe working environment.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Previous cleaning/janitorial experience is an asset.
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs plus on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to communicate in English.
  • Reliable.
  • Legally allowed to work in Canada.
  • Must live in the Ottawa/Gatineau region.
