Job Summary

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Concrete Estimator to join our team for highrise projects. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for accurately estimating and analyzing costs associated with concrete forming activities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed analysis of project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine the scope of work for concrete forming.
  • Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates by calculating material quantities, labor requirements, and equipment usage.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements.
  • Utilize industry-standard software and tools to perform cost estimations efficiently and ensure accuracy.
  • Perform detailed quantity takeoff for concrete forming materials and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering and propose innovative solutions while maintaining project quality and safety.
  • Prepare competitive bid proposals based on accurate cost estimations and project requirements.
  • Maintain organized project files, generate reports on cost estimates and variances, and assist in change order estimates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in concrete estimation for high-rise projects.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication are required.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software and knowledge of local building codes and regulations is desired.
