Your Opportunity

We are seeking a Financial Advisor to join our Personal Debt Solution team in Ottawa. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting debtors and creditors in navigating bankruptcies and proposals. This role requires regular travel to surrounding areas and an in-office presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist debtors and creditors in person and by telephone to resolve bankruptcy and proposal matters.
  • Conduct initial consultations to assess debtor situations and recommend appropriate options.
  • Review interview forms and prepare files/documents for client signing.
  • Engage in community outreach, business development, and presentations.

Requirements

  • Experience in a financial advisory role or strong customer service-focused role is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. French is an asset.
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and a variable workload as required.
  • Must be able to liaise well with staff and outside parties.
  • Insolvency experience is an asset.
  • Willingness to complete or have completed the BIA Administrator Insolvency Course.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a car are required.
