Job Title: Senior Manager, Robotics and Process Automation

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to lead our Robotics and Process Automation team. As a key member of our Magna Corporate team, you will be responsible for evaluating and implementing cutting-edge automation solutions across our divisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative automation solutions from concept to completion
  • Design and conduct research programs, including proof of concepts for automation process validation
  • Develop and test production test cases for automation projects, including running optimization simulations and collecting data
  • Execute technology benchmarking studies in the field of automation
  • Assist in business case development and analysis for new process developments
  • Lead the team to engineer and design robust and reliable automation solutions
  • Complete testing and validation processes to ensure achievement of project requirements and specifications

Requirements:

  • Master of Science or Master's in Mechanical Engineering
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of health and safety regulatory requirements regarding automation
  • In-depth knowledge of robotic process technology in terms of hardware and software
  • Knowledge of ANSI, SAE, QS-9000, and other industry/customer-related standards
  • Knowledge of GD&T, Design for Manufacturing, Failure Mode Effect Analysis (DFMEA/PFMEA), Dimensional Stack Analysis
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Process & Assembly methods
  • Familiarity with measurement processes including CMM, optical systems, and other methodologies
  • Knowledge of various materials used in automotive products, heat treatment, and surface finishing
  • Understanding of process and cost models with respect to components and system manufacturing
