About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Medicine Specialist to join our team at the Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our medical services.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a team of healthcare professionals, including nurse practitioners, specialists, and other healthcare providers. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary care to patients, including routine check-ups, health screenings, and management of chronic conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide full scope of practice as a family medicine specialist, including routine check-ups, health screenings, and management of chronic conditions.
  • Participate in call and provide emergency care as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices in family medicine.

Expected Hours:

  • Full-time
  • Part-time

Qualifications:

  • Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
  • Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
  • Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
