Job Title: Senior Corporate Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Corporate Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our Law Department, you will play a critical role in supporting our Finance, Treasury, Sustainability, and Corporate Governance teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide securities, governance, and disclosure advice to support corporate financing transactions, including public and private offerings of securities and credit facilities in Canada, the United States, and Europe.
  • Negotiate agreements, including credit facilities, underwriting agreements, NDAs, transfer agency agreements, and corporate documentation.
  • Coordinate business feedback on agreements and legal documentation, interact with external counsel, and manage projects.
  • Work closely with a group of legal professionals and senior business leaders to provide legal support and advice.
Requirements:
  • University degree and membership in a Provincial Bar in good standing.
  • ~5-7 years of legal experience in securities law and corporate finance matters.
  • Strong drafting, legal, and written communication skills with a practical solution-oriented approach.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills with experience addressing multiple projects at once.
