Job Title: Landscaping Supervisor

Join TIMES LANDSCAPING INC as a Landscaping Supervisor and take on a challenging role that requires strong leadership and technical skills. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and construction of outdoor spaces, ensuring that our clients receive exceptional service and results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of landscape professionals, including hiring, training, and supervising staff to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the highest standard.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement maintenance plans for our clients' outdoor spaces, including mowing, pruning, and other tasks to keep their properties looking their best.
  • Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Create detailed estimates for projects, including labour and materials costs, to ensure that our clients receive accurate quotes and stay within budget.
  • Plan, Manage, and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: Oversee the construction of outdoor spaces, including patios, walkways, and other hardscapes, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the highest standard.
  • Maintain Work Records and Logs: Keep accurate records of work completed, including hours worked, materials used, and other relevant information.
  • Read Blueprints and Drawings: Interpret blueprints and drawings to ensure that projects are completed according to plan.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and other tools, to ensure that they are in good working order.
  • Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment, and Supplies: Source and purchase materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to complete projects.
  • Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice, and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Troubleshoot issues that arise during projects, provide technical guidance to staff, and recommend improvements to processes and procedures.
  • Supervise Nursery and Greenhouse Workers: Lead a team of nursery and greenhouse workers, including training, supervising, and evaluating their performance.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement schedules and procedures for staff, including work hours, breaks, and other relevant information.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Tight Deadlines: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring that work is completed accurately and to the highest standard.
Experience:
  • 1 Year to Less Than 2 Years: Minimum 1 year of experience in a related field, including landscaping, horticulture, or a related field.
