Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery and Pick-up: Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand.
  • Transportation: Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.
  • Customer Service: Provide professional customer service and receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Sales: Sell products over established routes.
  • Logistics: Prepare, package, and restock goods, load and unload goods, and follow directions and read maps.
  • Record Keeping: Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems.
  • Payment and Receiving: Pay and receive payments for goods.
Requirements
  • Transportation Experience: Local transportation experience is required.
  • Vehicle and License: A valid driver's license and a vehicle supplied by the employer are required.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and physically demanding conditions is required.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgment, organization, reliability, and teamwork skills are required.
