Position Overview

At Autodesk, our Senior Visual Experience Designers are creative visionaries who blend artistic talent with a deep understanding of user experience. They champion design thinking to push boundaries and deliver exceptional experiences that resonate with our customers.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Experience Design for Product Design and Manufacturing Solutions (PDMS), this individual contributor will spearhead strategic projects, crafting cohesive and scalable user experiences across diverse platforms.

The PDMS organization at Autodesk is dedicated to building the world's leading design and manufacturing platform. We empower professionals throughout the entire product development lifecycle, from initial concept to manufacturing, by delivering innovative solutions like automation and collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Lead visual experience design initiatives, shaping strategy by analyzing business needs, customer requirements, and technical possibilities.
  • Collaborate closely with the broader design team, program management, and platform engineering to explore, plan, validate, and build scalable solutions.
  • Create high-quality visual design deliverables aligned with the Autodesk Design System, including hi-fidelity UI mockups, icons, illustrations, prototypes, and visual assets for production, validation, and testing.
  • Advocate for the Autodesk Design System, ensuring consistent user experiences across products. Contribute to strengthening our platform-thinking and refining design processes that foster cohesive experiences.
  • Engage actively within a vibrant, diverse, and global design community.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Visual Design, with a proven ability to design intuitive product functionality, user interfaces, and navigation.
  • Experience working with design systems, either building one from scratch or contributing to an existing system.
  • Proficiency in using design tools like Figma, Sketch, etc., to build reusable UI components.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, adept at simplifying complex issues into valuable and efficient solutions for end-users.
  • Demonstrated ability to visualize and prototype intended solutions, ranging from high-level wireframes to conceptual presentations and hi-fidelity mockups with detailed visual specifications for the development team.
