Senior Data Scientist Opportunity at Boeing

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team at Boeing Vancouver. As a key member of our 40-person integrated data science development team, you will play a critical role in empowering Boeing's customer-facing software tools, products, and services with cutting-edge analytics technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead cross-functional project teams to determine, define, and deploy complex analytic solutions to meet business objectives supporting engineering, maintenance, or flight operations of different programs.
  2. Develop and maintain both ad hoc and production-level analytics tools using techniques such as machine learning, statistical analysis, mathematical optimization, and simulation.
  3. Conduct evaluation, validation, and continuous performance monitoring of supported applications, models, and analyses.
  4. Perform necessary data preparation and enhancements to models.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Science.
  • 3+ years of experience with Python.
  • 3+ years of experience with data querying (e.g. SQL).
  • Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods.
  • Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data.
  • Must be eligible for authorization under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
  • Must have experience writing code in a collaborative environment (e.g. using Git).
  • MLOps and CI/CD techniques and tools (e.g. etc.).
  • Large-scale data analysis technologies (e.g. etc.).
  • Experience in production data and modeling pipeline development.
  • Experience in production analytics services deployment.
  • Experience presenting to non-technical audiences.
  • Project management experience (Agile, Kanban).
  • Expertise in applied Natural Language Processing.
Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary Pay Range:

CAD 100,000 - 178,000.
