Medical Laboratory Instructor - ECG Specialist

Your Role in a Snapshot:

As a Medical Laboratory Instructor - ECG Specialist, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of the next generation of healthcare professionals. You will be responsible for delivering instruction that meets module and program objectives, evaluating student performance fairly and consistently, and contributing to the development of curriculum and instructional materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver instruction that meets module and program objectives as set out in the curriculum
  • Evaluate student performance fairly and consistently
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum and instructional materials
  • Support the administrative functions of the campus to enhance the student experience
  • Act in a manner that upholds the College standards
  • Participate in College and Program Activities
  • Monitor and review students during practicum and/or clinical placements, as the program requires
What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Laboratory Instructor - ECG Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical laboratory technology, with a focus on ECG interpretation and instruction. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.

Requirements:
  • CSMLS certification
  • CSCT Registered Cardiology Technologist designation
  • Degree or diploma from a recognized University or College in a relevant discipline
  • Two or more years' experience in a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Registered Medical Laboratory Technologist designation strongly preferred
  • A credential in adult education or in progress from an accredited post-secondary institution, and/or teaching experience is preferred
