Job Summary

This is a permanent full-time position requiring 35-40 hours of work per week. The job offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including awareness training for persons with disabilities, support for youth through on-the-job training, and cultural competency training for Indigenous workers.



Responsibilities:

  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Supervise other workers and maintain a safe work environment
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments


Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the trade
