Job Description
We are seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to join our E Wing (CCC/Pall/Rehab) Department. The successful applicant will perform the duties expected of a Registered Practical Nurse within this department.Key Responsibilities
The Registered Practical Nurse is responsible and accountable for providing quality patient/family focused nursing care to a patient population with predictable outcomes. This includes:- Providing high-quality nursing care to patients and their families
- Working collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary health team
- Practicing within the full scope of a Registered Practical Nurse in accordance with the nursing philosophy and standards set by HHCC, the College of Nurses of Ontario, and the Regulated Health Professions Act legislation
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:- A current Registered Practical Nurse certification from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- One year of recent experience on a medical or rehabilitation unit
- Previous palliative experience is an asset
- LEAP training is preferred
- Certificate in Gentle Persuasive Approach is preferred
- Current C.P.R. certification
- Acceptable performance and attendance records
