Job Summary

IBT Canada is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technologist to lead our construction design and supervision team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing engineering specifications and drawings, preparing project schedules, and leading groups of engineers and technicians.

Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Assist in developing engineering specifications and drawings, prepare engineering designs and drawings, and develop and prepare design sketches.
  • Project Management: Prepare project schedules, coordinate with client, engineers, and production specialists to establish product requirements, and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train new engineering technologists, lead groups of engineers and technicians, and provide technical guidance and support.
  • Quality Assurance: Examine drawings for conformity and errors, complete documentation packages and drawing sets, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a related field.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in construction design and supervision, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Skills: Proficient in MicroStation, AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word, with strong knowledge of CAD, drafting, and design principles.
