The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $108,100 - CAD $199,700 per year.



Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead our Core OS team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing features in the Windows networking stack that enhance network security.



Responsibilities



  • Design and implement secure networking features in the Windows operating system
  • Conduct timely reviews of design and code to ensure high-quality software delivery
  • Hold regular team meetings and one-on-one sessions to foster collaboration and growth
  • Analyze customer cases related to core networking areas using logging, packet capture, and telemetry data
  • Lead the development of fixes for defects or new features in the networking stacks
  • Collaborate with global teams on design and development activities
  • Stay up-to-date with networking standards-based protocols to build out great functionality for customers


Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • 3+ years of industry experience shipping high-quality software
  • 3+ years of experience with networking protocols and architecture
