Job Title: AI Engineer

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative solutions that leverage large language models in the healthcare technology domain.

You will work closely with our editors, data scientists, and clinical informaticists to develop AI applications that enhance content production and improve operational efficiency.

This is a unique opportunity to experiment and solve for multiple use cases, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in healthcare technology.

Responsibilities:
  • Solve internal and external customer problems using LLM technologies and tactics that balance speed, function, and long-term robustness.
  • Work closely with clinical editors to create more efficient and accurate content.
  • Rapidly prototype generative AI applications.
  • Develop full-stack solutions from proof-of-concept to front-end UI.
  • Evaluate, measure, and improve performance on a continuous basis.
  • Collaborate with clinical editors to prioritize new use cases for development and obtain feedback on existing solutions.
  • Work with data scientists to rigorously evaluate various strategies for optimizing prompts.
  • Stay up to date on industry developments.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5+ years of full-time software engineering experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python.
  • Experience with modern front-end web technologies.
  • Familiarity with Azure or AWS cloud computing.
  • Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
  • Collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience building generative AI solutions with OpenAI.
  • Proficiency in leveraging RAG, chunking, and embedding techniques in AI solutions.
  • Health technology domain experience.
  • Experience working with clinicians.
Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $127,500– $178,500, plus bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, 401K retirement plan, flexible spending and health savings account, 15 days of paid time off, 14 company-recognized holidays, paid volunteer days, 8 weeks of paid parental leave, and LGBTQ+ Health Services.
