About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at Samy's Restaurant. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Perform various accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations, and identify and mitigate potential financial risks.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent in accounting or a related field.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Office.
