Job Title: Account Manager

Manitoulin Transport is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager to join our team. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing existing accounts and growing revenues, soliciting new business, and communicating effectively with all departments to ensure our customers receive the service we have committed to.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage existing accounts and grow revenues through effective sales and customer service strategies.
  • Solicit new business opportunities and increase revenue levels over the previous year.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure seamless customer service and support.
  • Attend sales meetings, industry functions, trade shows, and training programs to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Ensure all reports are completed and submitted in a timely fashion.
  • Utilize a laptop and contact management system to manage time, plan, and schedule calls, update calls and activities in CRM.
  • Source and secure new accounts, while expanding business within the current portfolio.
  • Coordinate sales and service activities effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Develop a defined sales plan balancing the requirements of existing customers and prospect/target accounts.
  • Provide support to new and existing customers throughout the sales process, implementation, and in dealing with any service concerns that may arise.
Qualifications:
  • University/College Graduate.
  • A minimum 2 years related sales experience. Valid driver's license and good condition/reliable vehicle.
  • Must be Bilingual - French and English.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Good communication skills with proficiency at listening, selling (persuasion), problem-solving, and negotiation.
  • Must be flexible as the job requires being able to deal effectively with changing circumstances, customer demands, last-minute requests, and deadlines.
  • Must be organized and able to manage time efficiently and effectively.
  • Detail-oriented.
