Animal Care Attendant
Location: Scarborough, ON
Department: ER
Toronto Veterinary Emergency Hospital is seeking a reliable and compassionate Animal Care Attendant to join our ER team. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our patients and their families.
- Assist veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments, promoting a seamless and efficient workflow.
- Create a welcoming environment for our pet parents, providing exceptional client service and ensuring their needs are met.
- Contribute to a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients, adhering to our hospital's commitment to animal welfare.
- Perform general housekeeping duties, maintaining the cleanliness of reception areas, pet holding areas, and common spaces.
- Develop a willingness to learn about veterinary services, updated medical office procedures, and assisting the veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments.
- Exhibit exceptional client service skills, compassion, and a nurturing attitude, even in stressful situations.
- Take initiative and work independently, adapting to changing situations and priorities.
Schedule: This position involves a combination of day shifts, night shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
