Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Paint Artist to join our team at Industrial Light & Magic. As a Digital Paint Artist, you will be responsible for restoring background plates and crafting digital articulate mattes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Restore background plates to a high level of quality and accuracy.
  • Craft digital articulate mattes that meet the required standards.
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the paint and compositing pipeline.
  • Collaborate with other artists to achieve the best possible results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Drawing, or Animation; or equivalent artistic background and education required.
  • 3+ years production experience in computer graphics, animation, or video.
  • Professional experience with Silhouette and Nuke.
  • Ability to write Nuke gizmos and/or plugins is a plus.
  • Python and/or C++ experience a plus.
  • Computer proficiency including UNIX operating system; able to learn software and adapt scripts.
