About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our team at Affinity Group. As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our public sector client's Data Centre Transformation initiative.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support Data Centre Transformation: Provide core support to teams involved in the Data Centre Transformation initiative, including scope planning, analysis, and documentation, as well as the design/redesign of data center foundational systems/structure, system/application migration/decommission, operational support, and other analysis needs.
  2. Partner with Stakeholders: Collaborate with Product owners, Business leads, and Project Managers on road mapping, stakeholder engagement, scope management, and prioritization.
  3. Develop Business Analysis Approach: Build and execute a solid business analysis approach to elicit, analyze, and document/refine detailed user needs in user stories or other supporting artifacts.
  4. Support System and User Analysis: Support in detailed system and user analysis needs and gaps, and ensure proper documentation.
  5. Define Business Processes: Support in current/future process definition and mapping of user and player experience.
  6. Facilitate Requirements Sessions: Facilitate requirement sessions, refinement meetings, sprint planning, retro, standup, and other meetings as needed.
  7. Provide Technical Support: Conduct technical operational support and troubleshooting as needed to support the product area.
  8. Report Status and Issues: Provide regular status and issues reporting to the Capability Manager, Project Manager, and PO.
Requirements
  1. Business Analysis Knowledge: Knowledge of IIBA Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) knowledge areas and techniques.
  2. Experience: 6+ years of dedicated BA experience at the Senior level, with experience working with business users and subject matter experts to produce comprehensive requirements, gap analysis, current and future state design, and other analyses.
  3. Skills: Solid skills in eliciting, creating, and managing requirements, gained through applied work experiences (Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban), workshop planning and facilitation, business case development, and exceptional problem-solving and analytical thinking/innovation.
