About You / What We Are Looking For
We are seeking an innovative and forward-thinking leader who can play a strategic role in shaping Coquitlam's future. As a key member of the City's leadership team, you will work with Council and senior leaders to translate long-term priorities into operational initiatives. You will excel in navigating complex policy, governance, and business process challenges, ensuring the City remains responsive to the external environment, Council's direction, and community needs.
You will lead the City's corporate planning processes, driving strategic initiatives and business improvement efforts to enhance service delivery and organizational effectiveness. Key Responsibilities include leading the corporate planning framework, providing high-level advice to Council and City senior leadership, collaborating with departmental leaders, and overseeing strategic space planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- A minimum of 10 years of progressively senior experience in municipal government or a related public sector environment, with a focus on strategic and operational planning.
- Proven experience in providing high-level advice to senior executives and elected officials.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience leading teams in a unionized environment.
