About the Role
  • We're looking for someone with extensive experience in conducting monitoring and testing activities on controls related to regulatory compliance, including the Bank Act, Anti-Money Laundering/Anti-Terrorist Financing, Privacy, Consumer Provisions, Whistleblower, FATCA, and CASL.
  • You will be responsible for analyzing data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and potential risks related to compliance, and assisting in the development and maintenance of compliance testing and monitoring procedures and protocols.
  • In addition, you will provide support and guidance to the Compliance team and business units on compliance-related matters, including issues management, and participate in compliance-related projects and initiatives as required.
Your Skills and Qualifications
  • We require a degree in business, finance, law, or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of work-related experience in a federally regulated financial institution.
  • You must have specialized knowledge and experience in regulatory compliance, policies and procedures development, risk management disciplines, and best practices.
  • Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills are essential, as you will interact with all levels of management and influence a wide range of internal audiences.
  • Strong judgment, a practical approach, and commitment to achieving excellence in regulatory compliance management are also necessary.
