About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Merchandising Team Leader to join our team at American Eagle Outfitters. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the merchandising strategy for the store, driving sales, and ensuring a best-in-class guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Sales and Revenue Growth: As a key LOD (Leader on Duty), you will be responsible for maximizing Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity, building guest loyalty, and contributing to the overall financial success of the store.
  • Merchandising and Visual Standards: You will coach your team to deliver an outstanding guest experience by ensuring the store is always representative of AEO Brand Standards. You will also be responsible for leading day-to-day merchandising, sell-through adjustments, and replenishment.
  • People Leadership: As a role-model leader, you will motivate and inspire your team through AEO's core values. You will hold your team accountable to rocking AEO's customer service standards, especially on the Salesfloor and in the Fitting Room.
  • Talent Acquisition and Development: You will make it a top priority to recruit and hire strong talent to ensure the store is always staffed to meet business needs. You will also take pride in training and developing your team to ensure they continue to provide outstanding service.
  • Operational Excellence: You will be responsible for executing and innovating daily operational procedures, supporting the team in maintaining visual standards throughout every zone in the store, and ensuring the Fitting Rooms are always guest-ready and rocking AEO Brand Standards.
  • Integrity and Compliance: You will ensure store safety standards are maintained, adhere to AEO's policies and procedures, and do the right thing always.
