Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Peace Arch Hospital. As a key member of our Medical Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing MRI examinations in accordance with established procedures and protocols.

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct MRI examinations, including positioning patients, explaining procedures, and operating computerized imaging equipment.
  2. Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any emergent situations.
  3. Perform quality control duties, including scheduling equipment tests and recording results.
  4. Participate in the department's Continuous Quality Improvement/LEAN programs.
  5. Maintain patient and hospital records, including entering data into radiology and hospital information systems.
  6. Respond to inquiries from other clinical areas regarding patient examinations and schedules.
  7. Develop and maintain statistical data related to department activity levels, attendance, and performance appraisals.
  8. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and practices.
Qualifications

Certification with CAMRT (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is required. Completion of Intravenous Therapy training course when required by site practice and one (1) year recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) level.
