Equinox Engineering Ltd. is a Calgary-based EPCM firm, a market leader in oil and gas processing, specializing in facilities design, implementation, and operational assistance for natural gas, conventional, and heavy oil projects.


We are currently executing a wide range of sweet gas, sour gas, conventional oil, heavy oil facility, and pipeline projects for several of the largest oil & gas producers in Canada and worldwide.


We are seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage the recruitment process, including receiving and reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and checking references.
  • Brief candidates on job responsibilities, salary, and benefits.
  • Inform candidates of interview results.
  • Negotiate pay and salary rates with candidates.
  • Provide complete and effective full-cycle recruiting services.
  • Manage all communications with hiring managers.
  • Screen, interview, and reference-check candidates.
  • Maintain updated position lists through continuous liaison with supervisors.
  • Develop and implement recruiting strategies, including networking, database marketing, headhunting, referrals, and other initiatives.
  • Interact closely with hiring managers from various departments.
  • Create authorization to hire and prepare contracts.

Key Skills:



  • Strong knowledge of social media recruiting platforms, including LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, LinkedIn, SEEK, Facebook, and Twitter.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Team working skills.
  • Knowledge of the Calgary oil and gas market and industry contacts.

Education and Qualifications:



  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or Recruiting.
  • 10+ years of recruiting industry experience.
  • Experience with phone screening, interviewing, reference-checking, and utilizing external job boards and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Experience in the oil and gas marketplace and familiarity with the EPCM segment.
