About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Deli Counter Sales Associate to join our team at Great West Italian Importers Ltd. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers and discuss their needs, providing advice and recommendations on our products.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on our product offerings, including food and food products, and be able to answer customer questions.
  • Merchandise Display: Assist in the display of merchandise and maintain a visually appealing store environment.
  • Cash Handling: Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
Work Environment

Our deli counter is a fast-paced environment where you will be working in a specialty shop setting. You will be standing for extended periods and may be required to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) on occasion.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail or sales environment.
  • Personal Qualities: Adaptability, collaborative, energetic, goal-oriented, hardworking, outgoing, positive attitude, quick learner, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, organized, reliability, team player, excellent oral communication, ability to multitask, punctuality.
