Job Title: Chief Counsel

Bitfarms Ltd is a leading global vertically integrated Bitcoin mining company operating one of the largest cryptocurrency mining operations in North America. As the only publicly traded pure-play Bitcoin mining company audited by a Big Four audit firm, we are a global operation powered by entrepreneurial leaders and the most novel technology available.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Counsel to join our team in Canada. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day legal advice to our business units in Canada, conduct thorough legal research and analysis on various corporate law issues, and ensure compliance with applicable local laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on corporate and labor relations law matters
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on various corporate law issues
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local laws and regulations
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate a wide range of corporate documents
  • Assist in the execution of corporate transactions
Requirements:
  • Minimum a Bachelor's degree in law in Canada
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally with a corporate and business law firm and/or a Canadian publicly-traded or international company
  • Fluently bilingual in French and English required
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite
