About the Opportunity

The Food Production Worker is a key member of our team, responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food to our patients and clients. This role requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and patient satisfaction.

As a Food Production Worker, you will work in a fast-paced environment, preparing and cooking meals, and ensuring that all food is served in a clean and safe manner. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and for adhering to all food safety and handling protocols.

About You

We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Grade XII or equivalent
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in cooking and food preparation
  • Successful completion of Food Handlers Course within the past five years
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with other staff, clients and management
  • Willingness to learn, accept direction and work effectively in a team environment following established policies and procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Demonstrated ability to use sound professional judgment, initiative and problem solving skills
  • Commitment to promoting a culture of respect that supports safety, ethical practices, cultural awareness and organizational health
  • Physical capabilities to perform duties of the position including heavy lifting; working flexible hours, withstanding the demands of walking and standing during shifts; and working in an environment with heat and temperature fluctuations
  • Travel between sites will be required
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Compensation and Benefits

$21.59- $23.99 Hourly

This is a Support bargaining unit position. Preference is given to bargaining unit employees for unionized positions.
