Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team at JEEVAN IMPEX INC. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our supermarket/grocery store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
  • Perform safety and security checks to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain high standards of hygiene.
  • Work with minimal supervision, demonstrating independence and self-motivation.
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas during winter months.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Permanent employment with a regular schedule of 34 to 44 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
