Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Android developer to join our team at Motion Recruitment Partners LLC. As a Senior Android Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale Android applications using Java, Kotlin, and Jetpack Compose.

About the Role: This is a 6-month contract with possible extension for a Senior or Lead hybrid role. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of Android development experience, with a strong focus on Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. You will also have experience with legacy applications using Java and XML, as well as strong communication skills within an agile-based team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Rebuild an older application using a modern tech stack
  • Migrate from a legacy application to a new modern code base

Requirements:

  • 5 years of Android development experience
  • Experience with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
  • Experience with legacy applications using Java and XML
  • Strong communication skills within an agile-based team
  • Experience with migration/modernization projects
  • Strong ability on both UI development and business logic (API's) layers

Desired Skills:

  • Cross-functional team experience
  • Legacy experience (5-7 years)
  • Banking or financial industry experience
  • Large-scale app experience
