Job Summary

Kal Tire, a leading provider of tire services and supply, is seeking an experienced OTR Tire Technician to join our team at the Greenhills mine in southeastern British Columbia.

Kal Tire is Canada's largest independent tire dealer and one of North America's largest commercial tire dealers. We have a strong presence in the mining industry, servicing over 150 mine sites across five continents.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional tire service to customers, including dismounting and mounting tires for various vehicles.
  • Assisting mine maintenance staff as required.
  • Maintaining tools and equipment, and conducting regular inspections to ensure safety standards are met.
  • Responding to after-hours call-outs as directed by your supervisor.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least two years of related experience, preferably as a tire fitter.
  • OTR service training and certifications desired.
  • Basic tire fitting skills – Tire Fitter Levels 1 & 2 preferred.
  • Experience operating and maintaining tire manipulators, forklifts, and service trucks.
  • Experience working in a safety-focused environment.
Working Conditions

This role involves working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment as part of a team. You must be able to physically perform the duties of an OTR Tire Technician safely and maintain all applicable licenses, certificates, and qualifications.
