Your Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist I to join our Community Rehabilitation Interdisciplinary Service (CRIS) program. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide physical therapy, patient assessment, and treatment to community dwelling adults with complex and neurological conditions.
Description:
As a Physiotherapist I, you will be responsible for providing therapeutic interventions to enable clients to achieve optimum physical function and independence. This will involve prevention, triage, screening, assessment, diagnosis, goal setting, treatment, management, education, consultation, and case management. You will work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to determine, implement, and evaluate appropriate rehabilitation strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services to clients with complex and neurological conditions
- Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide effective and appropriate patient care
- Mentor and supervise Physical Therapy students and Therapy Assistants
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer mentoring
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program
- Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree
- Experience working in Connect Care
- Experience working in an outpatient clinic setting
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams
- Experience supervising Therapy Assistants and students
