About the Role:
Athabasca Basin Security LP is seeking a skilled and dedicated Primary Care Paramedic to join our team. As a Primary Care Paramedic, you will play a critical role in providing emergency medical care and support to individuals in need.
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Primary Care Paramedic who is able to work independently and as part of a team to provide emergency medical care and support. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patients, administering medications and treatments, and providing advanced life support when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Assess the extent of injuries or illness of trauma victims to determine emergency medical treatment
- Emergency Care: Administer pre-hospital emergency care, including medications and advanced life support when necessary
- Documentation: Document and record the nature of injuries and treatment provided
- Collaboration: Assist hospital personnel with provision of medical treatment, if necessary
Requirements:
- Licenses and Certifications: Class 4/4F/F/4A-B-C Licence (ambulances, emergency vehicles, and buses with fewer than 24 passengers), St. John's Ambulance First-Aid Certificate, Canadian Red Cross First-Aid Certificate, Advanced Life Support (ALS) Certificate, and CPR Certificate
- Security Clearance: Enhanced reliability security clearance
- Driver's License: Valid driver's licence and driver's abstract
Work Environment:
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Physical demands of the job include manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to distinguish between colours.
Benefits:
