Job Summary

PCL Industrial Management Inc. is seeking a skilled Pipe Fabrication Checker to join our team. As a Pipe Fabrication Checker, you will be responsible for reviewing and verifying shop drawings to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities
  • Review and verify shop drawings for accuracy and completeness, including piping isometrics, general arrangement (GA) drawings, and Requests for Information (RFI).
  • Collaborate with engineers and drafters to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with ASME/API/CSA piping codes.
  • Conduct quality checks on shop drawings to ensure they meet company standards and industry regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Qualifications
  • Construction trade certification with equivalent experience, or post-secondary diploma or degree in drafting or engineering.
  • 3 years of checking experience working in a pipe fabrication shop.
  • Strong understanding of ASME/API/CSA piping codes, engineering details & specifications.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

This is an hourly contract with an approximate 6-month duration. The successful applicant must be willing to take and pass a pre-access alcohol & drug test.
