Position Overview

Our esteemed client, located in Calgary, AB, is seeking a Senior Manager, SAP S4HANA Functional Expert with specialized knowledge in Record to Report solutions. This role is pivotal in advancing their R2R solution and steering their Functional Team towards success.

Type: Permanent

Work Model: Hybrid (Office/Home)

  • Must be able to travel between the US and Canada
  • Candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents eligible for travel

Key Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP functional solution design and delivery
  • Minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership capacity, directly or indirectly managing a team of SAP professionals
  • Practical experience in various sub-modules of S/4HANA FICO, with integration to SD, MM, and PP
  • Proficient in Product Costing, Material Ledger, and Project Systems in Make-to-Order scenarios
  • Experience in Financial Supply Chain Management is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams
  • Proven track record of successful SAP implementations as a Lead Solution Architect
  • Experience in designing complex SAP solutions tailored to unique business processes
  • Strong skills in SAP delivery planning, including milestone setting, resource allocation, and budget management
  • Knowledge of SAP development estimation and best practices in solution delivery
  • Strategic thinker capable of implementing effective solutions in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in presenting to senior leadership
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Eagerness to learn, mentor, and share knowledge with colleagues and users
  • Results-oriented mindset
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of functional analysts and architects responsible for designing and implementing SAP solutions for the Record to Report business function
  • Collaborate with senior business leaders to align technology with business strategy by understanding processes and needs
  • Create SAP roadmaps, strategies, and budgets to ensure they align with business objectives
  • Provide guidance to third-party providers to ensure SAP solutions meet business requirements and adhere to best practices
  • Architect and design SAP solutions to meet specific business needs while ensuring design integrity through implementation
  • Assess the best approach for delivering required functionalities from financial, architectural, and operational perspectives
  • Ensure all solutions in the Record to Report domain are tested and meet quality assurance standards
  • Assist in prioritizing demand items within the R2R space
  • Accountable for the efficient delivery of SAP solutions, overseeing both planning and execution
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor team members to foster growth and expertise
