Are you an experienced instructor with a passion for teaching management communications? We are seeking a qualified individual to teach a university credit course at the University of Toronto Scarborough.

About the Position

This is a half-course (0.50 FCEs) position, requiring preparation and delivery of course content, development and administration of assignments, tests, and exams, calculation and submission of grades, holding regular office hours, and maintaining reasonable availability for student and administrative contact. The successful candidate will also be responsible for supervising T.A.s assigned to the course.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $9,457.89-$10,362.76 per session, inclusive of vacation pay, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, the successful candidate will receive TA support of approximately 50 minutes per student enrolled over 30.

Qualifications and Experience
  • A master's degree in organizational behavior/industrial-organizational psychology or a master's degree in social/personality psychology with at least 2 courses at the graduate level in organizational psychology.
  • Previous experience teaching this course or a similar course at the undergraduate level, or experience with activities related to teaching this course, such as being a teaching assistant, teaching some sessions of the course, or experience in course development.
  • Professional experience in a related field, such as communication consulting, management consulting, or public relations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior or Industrial-Organizational Psychology or a Ph.D. in Human Resources Management/Social/Personality Psychology with at least 2 courses at the graduate level in organizational behavior/organizational psychology.
