Corporate Accountant Job Description

Better Pays is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for performing full cycle of accounting duties for our corporation and subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Corporate tax planning and compliance
  • Review and analysis of AR/AP and financial statements
  • Process payroll, WCB and EHT filings, and maintain confidential information
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/annually GST filings and remit taxes/installments on a timely basis
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data
  • Compile and analyze financial information and prepare consolidated financial statements
  • Liaise with external tax accountants for the preparation and filing of T2, T1134, T106 and NR4 returns
  • Forecast cash flows, monitor and maintain rational cash balances among the corporation and its subsidiaries
  • Prepare annual financial plans including, but not limited to annual budgets and corporate taxation
  • Work with lenders, bank managers, shareholders and US property managers for corporate accounting matters
  • Assist Property Management Accounting Team when needed

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accounting degree or designation
  • Experience in a Corporate Accountant role for minimum 3 years
  • Experience in consolidation and taxation
  • Advanced knowledge in corporate tax planning
  • Detailed oriented
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in both English and Chinese
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and QuickBooks
  • Experience with Yardi will be an advantage
