Event Coordinator

The Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering at the University of Toronto is hiring an Event Specialist to support the Office of Advancement.
This role involves executing all aspects of donor and alumni events and meetings, from initial planning to post-event follow-up. The Events Specialist will plan event details for internal and external events and prepare service contracts.
Key responsibilities include coordinating event calendars, analyzing client needs, conceptualizing events, and implementing process improvements. The successful candidate will also develop marketing strategies and liaise with communications staff.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum five years experience in event planning and execution.Experience using events management software.Strong project management skills and ability to manage budgets.Proficiency with virtual and hybrid event technologies.A creative and resourceful approach to problem-solving.Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
Assets:
Formal project management background or education.Experience using donor databases.
Notes:
This role is eligible for a hybrid arrangement.This is a term position with a specific end date.
