About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Territory Agriculture Sales Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting the sale of new and used equipment to existing customers and identifying potential customers in a defined sales territory.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and provide exceptional customer service. You will also be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of integrity and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess customers' needs and resources, and recommend the appropriate goods or services.
  • Prepare and administer sales contracts following a defined sales process.
  • Stay current on used equipment values for accurate trade-in evaluations.
  • Utilize sales/marketing software packages and maintain knowledge of financing options.
  • Consult with customers after sale to provide ongoing support.
  • Conduct field demonstrations and stay current on product knowledge.
  • Maintain current knowledge on product features and benefits available for sale.
  • Maintain customer profiles and information in assigned area for sales management.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2+ years' experience in equipment sales is preferred, but not essential. If you have the right mindset, drive, and interest in agriculture, we will invest in training the right individual.
  • Two years post-secondary education in marketing/agriculture or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Understanding of the agricultural industry and knowledge of farming and operational practices is preferred.
  • Knowledge in precision agriculture, usage, setup, and optimization would be an asset.
  • Ability to build excellent customer relationships.
  • High energy and a positive attitude are a must.
  • Takes initiative in the work being completed, while being self-motivated and organized.
  • Able to work flexible and extended hours.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Proficient computer and software skills.
