Job Description: Electrical Assembly Specialist - Day Shift

This role is based out of our Electrical Division Edmonton (EDE) location in Acheson. The Electrical Assembly Specialist - Day Shift will report to the Manufacturing Supervisor of the PCR (Power Control Room) Wiring department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly and integration of buildings and manufacturing processes associated with PCR Integration.

  • Perform integration tasks related to the installation of cabling and equipment.
  • Install equipment and components, tray, raceways, cable and wire, grounding and bonding, and terminations.
  • Inspect systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and defects for their adjustment or repair and ensure compliance with Powell standards.
  • Test systems, equipment, and components using various tools and equipment.
  • Follow direction from Journeymen, Leads, and Supervisors.
  • Promote a safety culture and attend all safety meetings.
  • Ensure quality by following work instructions and identifying any potential risks to product quality.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Other duties as required.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma minimum education level.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Safety training certificates are an asset for the position.
  • Pre-employment substance abuse and medical testing will be required upon hire due to the safety-sensitive nature of this position.
Working Conditions:
  • Safety-sensitive position in a temperature-controlled manufacturing or industrial environment with occasional outside activities.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment at all times when required.
  • Must be able to work from various types of ladders.
  • Working at heights usually no higher than 30 feet in the air on or using proper lift equipment.
  • Working around loud machinery.

Estimated salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
