We are seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team at AWIN Group of Dealerships. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for performing various accounting-related tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile vendor statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and manufacturer's statements.
- Prepare accounts receivable reports and maintain a monthly list of unpaid accounts.
- Process accounts payable cheques and follow up on outstanding amounts.
- Prepare bank deposits and complete the cash control worksheet daily.
- Maintain a petty cash system and monitor cash and credit card clearing accounts.
- Issue customer refunds and post invoices through our accounting system.
- Distribute invoices to respective departments for authorization.
- Prepare account analysis and participate in the monthly closing of accounts.
- Maintain regular supplier files and assign new vendor accounts.
Requirements:
- Minimum one year of related industry experience.
- Background in the automotive or related industry is an asset.
- College Diploma or University Degree.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines.
- Proficient with CDK and/or Reynolds systems and PC-based software.
