Job Summary
The Student Optician attracts and retains customers by delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role demonstrates all aspects of the Neighborhood Eye Care Experience, working under the guidance of an Optician to perform tasks such as taking and recording measurements, adjusting or fitting eyewear, and ensuring finished eyewear meets optical standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly, showing urgency in providing service and satisfying their needs
- Determine the reason for the customer's visit and explain how to shop at Pearle Vision
- Perform work accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume
- Identify unsatisfied customers and act quickly for resolution, focusing on what can be done
- Educate customers on Pearle Vision products, guarantees, and services including eyewear care tips, complimentary adjustments, and follow-up services

Required Skills and Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Registered in State licensure program (where applicable) or equivalent schooling
- Previous optical and retail experience
- Strong communication and listening skills to interact with customers and associates
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Awareness of current fashion trends
- Strong interpersonal skills (friendly, caring, patient)
