Job Title: Senior Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architect to join our team at Bell Canada. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge data solutions in the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and build robust, secure, and scalable data architectures that align with both business needs and long-term technical goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deeply understand business operations, data requirements, and pain points, ensuring data solutions support key business outcomes.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and intermediate data engineers, fostering growth and ensuring alignment with best practices.
  • Champion the use of proven engineering best practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, and version control, to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize data pipelines for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability in cloud environments.
Critical Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related subject.
  • 7+ years experience in software development and architecture.
  • 2+ years developing data engineering components.
  • 4+ years understanding of traditional ETL tools and Data Warehousing architecture.
  • 2+ years coding in Scala/Spark, Spark Streaming/Java.
  • Solution Architect and/or Data Engineer Cloud Certifications (GCP Preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix and scripting skills.
  • Experience with predictive analytics techniques.
  • Practical knowledge with DevOps tools and programming/scripting languages.

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
